Farmleigh Fun...

We were waiting around all morning for the weather to clear up so eventually we got a break around 2.30pm and off we trotted to Farmleigh which is a place we have never visited before, even though it's just on our doorstep in the phoenix park. What a great place - I couldn't believe how much we have been missing out on. There was a live international music concert blasting out in the air. On the other side of Farmleigh house there was a great farmer's market selling all sorts of delights. We took a quick tour of the house which has a really lovely interior. From there we walked through the beautiful walled garden. Then we discovered the Texaco Children's art exhibition which was just amazing. My two were enthralled looking at all the art and they were engrossed with the winning children's ages, saying 'I could do that' and I'm younger than them. Next year we will have a go;-)


I loved this picture by an 8 year old child - it was made entirely with sweeties!
