Scrapfest by the Lee...

Just back from a fantastic weekend of scrapbooking in Cork - all in aid of Action Breast Cancer. We travelled down on Friday night and availed of Ruth's kind hospitality in her beautiful new home in Cobh (thanks a mil Ruthie - you're hostess with the mostess!). On Saturday we headed over to the Alexandra Hotel which was a lovely venue. I really liked that the shops and crop area were all together in one room and there was plenty of time to chat and crop with just one class on the go at any one time.

Here's some of the girls in action;

Caroline..just running to the shops LOL!

Jean Jeany and Jo with their winning designs in the card challenge as judged by Beckie.

Annamarie promoting her beloved Daisy d's (ssshh did you hear she won a big Daisy d competition this week!)

Kate and Mireille...doing their thing for Breast cancer!

Bosom buddies -Kate and Mireille! (There's a LO in there methinks!)

We spent the day trying to avoid Herma Man's camera as he snapped photos for his new catologue!

Some of us weren't that lucky - eh Ruthie???

The classes were great on Saturday - most had big kits and great designs! Here's the ones I took.. was so delighted to complete 4 LO's in one day!

Kate and Mireille's class using the fab new Piggy Tales paper.

Beckie's Halloween LO using Rusty Pickle

And this was another of Beckie's - sorry can't remember the paper name but I really liked it. Annamarie and I got really giddy and nearly got thrown out of class! Instead of 'Beauty' we were going to stamp the title 'Who does yer wan think she is?' or 'I've been photoshopped!' T'was a giggle!

Then there was this one - eh...really nice lady but more of a sales pitch than a class really. Ah well you win some...

We were each given a kit to make either a Lo or a Card. So I got to play with Jean Jeany's new cuttlebug which is great fun to use.

And finally this is the LO I designed for my class. I used the Cherry Arte Indian papers - these babies were sourced from 3 different countries - UK, Holland and New Zealand and the latter's delivery finally arrived this morning 3 days late - oh well!

So overall a great weekend was had by all and looks like it will be an annual event! Yay! Hope lots of € were raised for such a worthy cause! Roll on next year!
