Back from New Ross...
Just back from a lovely weekend at our friend's Niamh and Ollie's in New Ross. We spent the weekend catching up on news and slagging each other off which is always a bit of a larf! The kids were ecstatic on the way down in the car 'mum how many minutes now - are we there yet?????' It's two minutes since you last asked girls!]
Over the weekend we went to Curracloe beach which was gorgeous and fresh - waves crashing in as the kite flyers put on a display for us. We then headed up to Ferrycarraig Hotel for our dinner which was lovely. Today we took a leisurely stroll around JF Kennedy Arboretum and park. The colours of Autumn were a sight to behold and the kids had so much fun running around. They really play together so well and the 2 hour distance since they moved to New Ross last Christmas hasn't made a dint in the friendship TG!!!!
I made this framed LO for them for their kind hospitality for the weekend- thanks guys! XXX

Jewellery Mania!
I made a terrible mistake of popping into Yellow Brick Road yesterday just to have a browse and came home with a big bag of crystals and findings. So I got busy and since yesterday have made no less than 8 necklaces (gasp!). There's my Christmas presents sorted LOL! I'm setting up a new jewellery blog to display my pieces individually but in the meantime here's a sneaky peak of everything I made yesterday...
This Saturday we have the October scrapbooking class in Castleknock from 10am-
3pm and there's one or two places left if anyone feels like popping along. We are using some delish new BG papers which I personally would just stick in a 12x12 box frame and admire them without cutting an inch off them! The theme is 'Sing a Song' and that's metaphorically speaking for those of you who don't have a note LOL!
Sneaky preview coming up,..

Scrapwest Cybercrop Day!
Today was so productive for me - the day of the Scrapwest cybercrop - Yay! It was a full agenda of classes back to back. Even managed to work my way through vast amounts of stash I wasn't even aware that I had in my craft room so thanks girls for that alone! The classes were great and everyone of them different. If you fancy having a go - the closing date to upload is this Thursday so click on a class link and get going!
Here's what I did for the cybercrop...
My class - 'You are my Sunshine'
****REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION****
Annamarie's class - Lucky Me
Noelle's class
Crafteire class
Eva's clss - front page
Eva's CLass- Lift up page
Kate's class
I felt guilty for spending the day scrapping (even if Ed was great about taking them to the park, McDonalds and food shopping!) so we bundled the kids in the car and headed over to the Botanic gardens (again!) to catch the Halloween festival. It was fantastic and surprisingly I bumbed into a few fellowe scrappers out to get the same photos that I had in mind for my Autumnal layouts! There were witches and Wizards galore and the girls were enthralled by it all. I'm delighted with my new pumpkin patch photos to scrap.
As the festival was ending I caught these two ghouls packing up for the day. The caption that springs to mind is 'In anticipation of an abundant halloween party!' LOL!

Botanic Gardens Outdoor Sculptural Exhibition
I had heard lots about this exhibition so I was thrilled that we managed to catch it before it closes next weekend (21st Oct). There were some fantastic sculptures - which reminded me of Disneyland (the Alice in Wonderland garden where everything is surreal!). The girls loved the interactive aspect of it and they climbed all over them which is refreshing for an art form -you normally have to warn them 'not to touch!'

Scrapfest by the Lee...
Just back from a fantastic weekend of scrapbooking in Cork - all in aid of Action Breast Cancer. We travelled down on Friday night and availed of Ruth's kind hospitality in her beautiful new home in Cobh (thanks a mil Ruthie - you're hostess with the mostess!). On Saturday we headed over to the Alexandra Hotel which was a lovely venue. I really liked that the shops and crop area were all together in one room and there was plenty of time to chat and crop with just one class on the go at any one time.
Annamarie promoting her beloved Daisy d's (ssshh did you hear she won a big Daisy d competition this week!)
Kate and Mireille...doing their thing for Breast cancer!

Here's some of the girls in action;
Caroline..just running to the shops LOL!
Jean Jeany and Jo with their winning designs in the card challenge as judged by Beckie.

Kate and Mireille...doing their thing for Breast cancer!
Bosom buddies -Kate and Mireille! (There's a LO in there methinks!)
Some of us weren't that lucky - eh Ruthie???
The classes were great on Saturday - most had big kits and great designs! Here's the ones I took.. was so delighted to complete 4 LO's in one day!
Kate and Mireille's class using the fab new Piggy Tales paper.
Beckie's Halloween LO using Rusty Pickle
And this was another of Beckie's - sorry can't remember the paper name but I really liked it. Annamarie and I got really giddy and nearly got thrown out of class! Instead of 'Beauty' we were going to stamp the title 'Who does yer wan think she is?' or 'I've been photoshopped!' T'was a giggle!
Then there was this one - eh...really nice lady but more of a sales pitch than a class really. Ah well you win some...

We were each given a kit to make either a Lo or a Card. So I got to play with Jean Jeany's new cuttlebug which is great fun to use.
And finally this is the LO I designed for my class. I used the Cherry Arte Indian papers - these babies were sourced from 3 different countries - UK, Holland and New Zealand and the latter's delivery finally arrived this morning 3 days late - oh well!
So overall a great weekend was had by all and looks like it will be an annual event! Yay! Hope lots of € were raised for such a worthy cause! Roll on next year!
